OK, I'm rethinking the magical sight scene. I originally drew some boring outlines of guys and now I think. Hey, if I'm a naked magical druid who digs guys my magical sight would show them naked. So, here we are.

hoping to capture a more natural not "filmed" feel. I think I'm going to add a lot more close ups and shadows. I will stop myself from drawing the ceiling which I'm sure is what most people see while having sex ha ha.

Random Sex

Now working on the scene where Tavius and the Arch Druid talk about their evil plans. They can use the bodies of animals and people to talk through like the poor apprentice who is getting a pounding here. I'm finding it harder and harder to make sex look natural after all the years of looking at porn.

Some bits from the cosmic portion of the tentacle scene where Ohn and Oisin see each other's true forms. This makes for cool icky Gay sex. The kind I like.

Young love

I've finally used up all the sketches I made over the last two months. The pages really eat them up and I still have to draw new stuff to fill holes...like this image of Byron ready to flee. This is a good example of how drawing out of my head is not that different from drawing from photo ref. I learn a lot from looking at pictures and retain things like how lips fold together and how truly freaky and weird the human body is. Sometimes I have to tone it down or it won't be believable.

Byron and Shay

The werefox is checking up on how the werewolf is doing with the Druids. Trouble is a brewing for poor sad Byron.

Foxes

Shay the werefox visits Byron at the tower. I've never drawn a fox before they have very cat like bodies and I think I actually made the ears too small if you can believe that.

Scene one is penciled and Looking pretty good. The sketches were rougher than normal probably due to drawing at home and not at Gary's studio where I take more time to finish them. Today I really wanted to get to page twelve so I was drawing and slapping it on the light box to check it for size.

Ohn's ride

The wave of human bodies that is Ohn's throne and preferred means of travel. It was a major bitch to draw and there are no photo references for this. I looked at pictures of guys on flat beds and then had to tweak the hell out of them. I think it worked well enough. What do you think of the webbed ears and little horns?

instinct

Here is another sketch of the tower and the penciled page of entering the temple. You are so right Nathan about the gates decorated to bring you in and the interior a simple sacred place. I was going on instinct here.

River Temple

I got a little carried away with this but I think it looks cool. We haven't even gotten inside the temple yet.

The temple under the river is only for Druids. Poor Byron.

Tavius parts the river and he and Oisin go down into the caves below.

Push

I wanted to show the progression of sketching I did for the pushing scene in chapter one. Sarah from "Rain on the Roof" suggested that instead of Byron backing away he push Oisin away at the same time feeling his chest in a mix of emotions. Now this is a very good idea (Thanks Sarah) but getting it right was harder than I thought and I had to redraw it several times. I think I got it right.

The spiral

I kept drawing the opening of chapter two as an establishing shot of the tower which has been, well, already established, so yesterday I got the idea to re introduce the characters instead. Here are some images from the childlike Byron fascinated by a snail only to see it get eaten by Tavius' crow. Shocked and sad he growls at the crow, but since no one saw this exchange they just think he's a crazy wolf growling at nothing and yell at him. Byron's life in the tower is never easy. I chose a snail because I'm trying to add more spirals to the story. Not sure where that is going.
