I was thinking the top image at the bottom of the page and behind them a misty forest scene. I'm also still torn on the boys holding hands as a cover. Keeping the covers optimistic while the inside is full of angst might be a good idea.
How about the holding hands on the front cover and the embrace on the back? I think optimism is good for most of the covers, but the third cover could be more sinister as a premonition of the finale. I'm sure you will decide it right.
