The Tats

I am happy with the pencils and now I'm going back and adding the tats to the figures. I also have to create finished drawings of each one to use as clip art throughout the story. It never ends. I really like the neck tattoo at the bottom. The center glyph is my Druid symbol which is a modified wreath and staff design. I'm not trying to portray "real" druids here, this is just fantasy.

punks and Oisin

Still trying to add some back ground characters to the pub scene. Oisin in a few poses I needed to fill in some holes.

I lied

I said I was done drawing for issue one, but there were a few panels that just didn't do it for me so I went back and did some stuff. usually if a panel is dead it's because I need to zoom in or out, but sometimes they are just dull and need to be re looked at. Upper left image replaces a panel where I just didn't show much emotion. Lower shows more emotion in Tavius but also lots more of his body in detail.

Done at last

Well, that is all the sketches from issue one. I've got it all pencilled and on boards. Next postings from the sketch book will be from number two.

How cool is this

The impeccably red new viny bitch from RD Mauzy. The album is "Oppols ond Bononos" from Big Spoon records. RD is a genius who was so cool (and smart) to invite a bunch of queer cartoonists to do some drawing for the package. I'm all giddy about the label on it. Do you know how much fun it was to draw a pic knowing it was going to have a hole it it? For some reason that turned me on. Anyway, I really want to see this baby spin...does anybody still have a turntable?

The Meat Of The Matter

Do I really need to explain this? I think the only thing that makes this different is the soft core. A little mystery.

business time

I want to have this really dark when colored. Very little light in the room with lots of fumbling the way it really is.

Bike ride

I wanted a shot of the milky way above them but I'm not sure how I want to do it. I think of stars as black and white although they are not.

heavy work over

Here we have the sketches and the finished page. I had to go over the last panel a gazillion times to get it right. luckily I'm a bitter old bitch today and thinking about sweet young love has an objectivity that I've never known before. I do like how Oisin is sniffing him a little bit without even knowing it.

hill top

I drew the tree circle again but ended up not using it. I've actually used most of the sketches in the sketchbook which is remarkable. I do go back and redraw panels more than ever so I guess it balances out.
