These landscapes really have a sense of place. Have you been there? I love how you've maintained a stylized line, especially with the water, while presenting otherwise mundane settings.
It's all based on childish day dreams and not an adult writer crafting a story. I don't care if it's realistic just that it's true and I guess that is where the feeling comes from. I've certainly spent my time in remote mountain towns and seen how the transition is pretty abrupt from town to forest.
And through the woods....Oisin passes the pub outside of town and crosses the river.
