comikaze expo 2012

I had never been to Comikaze, but they offered me a free table so I thought what the hell. As it turned out there were some mix ups and some of the people offered tables didn't get them. The con grew from five people running it to seventy five and it showed in all the hard work and energy. I think they did a great job, even with the minor issues, and I will be back. Thank you Teddy!

The LA convention center is pretty great and except for the lack of carpeting (Zan calls the cement they use at the convention center "Satanite") it's just as good as san diego.

I do have to say that LA people really put a lot of effort into their costumes. The number of hot fit guys showing off is off the charts. The remote controlled Wall E especially stole the show.

I also have to hand it to the awesome people who showed up at the LGBT panels. i have never felt such love queers and comics in a room before. You folks rocked it.

Also, Dylan Edwards, my new brother at Northwest Press, is awesome as well.  Jean who shared his booth is a literary genius too.

San Diego Comic Con

Here is my schedule for this years con. Come down the Prism Comics booth which is the epicenter of all things LGBT at Comic Con. Booth 2144 in Hall C. I'll be there Friday through Sunday.

Friday night check out the Fantagraphics party for Justin Halls "No Straight Lines" being held at Trickster 795 J St from 8-10pm.

I'll be sketching for the Cartoon Art Museum's annual Sketch-a-thon on Saturday July 14th from 4-5pm and then heading over to the Gays in Comics Panel 5:30-7 in Room 6A.

join me in celebrating the long worked on third chapter of my graphic novel Fearful Hunter. The book debuts at San Diego Comic Con, but I wanted to do something for all my friends here at home. A big thank you for your patience when I was home working and not out having fun with you like I should.

Also, it's Dore Alley weekend so I gathered sexy cartoonists to read from their most erotic and deviant works. Justin Hall, Agnes Czaja, Rick Worley and I will remind you what San Francisco is all about in, uh, graphic detail.

So bring your friends who think they have seen it all because Agnes is going to read her Botfly story. Agnes is the boss.
